Puppy update New pictures of the puppies have been posted. Puppies will be 10 weeks on Friday.
Since the last
puppy update, the puppies have been to the park three times and have had many new experiences socializing with children and
other dogs.
The last week, three times a day for fifteen minutes each, I have began conditioning the pups
with clickers and treats to focus and sit.
House training is pretty much complete and will be easy in their
new homes.

Disaster Preparedness and Pet IndicationThe storm today got me thinking about how our pets are affected by natural disaster. While I have
done extensive research into pets and disaster preparedness, there isn't much to say other than make sure their needs
are met as well. I plan on taking a seminar in the near future to extend my knowledge of this area.
You may have heard about animals getting a sixth sense or pre-warning prior to an event occuring such as an earthquake or
tsunami. Mine certainly did not. The storm was fierce but short. Aside from trees falling everywhere
as they usually do when the valley endures wind, many people were out overstocking in case electricity would be out for several days. Except
the Paradise evacuation, power was restored to most of Chico by late day.
Pets can often be a good indication
on the storm severity. Still, our thoughts are with those who have been effected.
